ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS The Jersey County Highway Department will be accepting applications for a full time highway maintenance position. This Union position shall perform work tasks relating to the operation and maintenance of County Highway's, general vehicles and equipment maintenance along with various other duties. A high-school diploma or equivalent, valid drivers license drivers license with air brake endorsement and Jersey County resident is required plus background in operation of construction equipment preferred. Applications may be picked up at the Jersey County Highway Department, 722 State Highway 16, Jerseyville, IL 62052 8:00 A.M-12:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M.-3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.
