Job DescriptionSUMMARYSupports the shipping department needs by coordinating outbound shipments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Assignments include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Prepare shipping documents (bills of lading, packing lists, international customs documents).* Schedule carriers for outbound shipments.* Print and understand required shipping reports.* Email/fax documents to required contacts.* Enter shipments in customer portals when required.* Understand proper routing for local and over the road shipments. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociates Degree or 2 years of related experience in shipping/logistics. Basic technical skills with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets.This is an active role in a busy Distribution Center with constant truck traffic. You must be comfortable with multi-tasking and possess effective communication and customer service skills!
