The Village of Rantoul Position Opening #07-08-2015 HVAC Technician The Village of Rantoul is seeking a qualified individual to fill a position of Heating, Ventilation and A/c (HVAC) with the Public Works HVAC Division. Under general direction of the HVAC Chief of Operations, this individual performs a variety of duties related to the inspection, repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment that supply Village of Rantoul facilities with heating and cooling. This individual will also operate and maintain the vehicles, tools and equipment used for the repair and maintenance of these facilities. This position necessitates knowledge, skill and intellectual development equivalent to the completion of 4 yrs of high-school. Requires good physical strength and expertise to work routinely at active manual tasks for continuous periods of time. Requires current understanding of the operation and repair of the tools and equipment used in the division.
