Temporary Operations Technician - (Soldotna, AK)

ENSTAR Natural Gas Company is seeking seasonal workers for the 2017 yr. Positions are expected to begin in April/May and end in October POSITION DETAILS: The principal role of the Operations Technician is to read residential and commercial customers' gas meters consumption for billing purposes. CRITICAL FUNCTIONS : • Read gas meters and record consumption for residential and commercial accounts. • Inspect and report defective meters or related equipment. • Complete required documentation. • Verify readings for abnormal consumption and records reasons for possible fluctuations. • Hang door tags and lock meters for non payment or failure to apply for service. • Walk and/or drive ENSTAR vehicle to perform tasks. • Inspect and maintain vehicle; refuels as needed. • Perform duties related to Distribution as assigned. • Work in all types of weather conditions especially in cold and wet environments; may include walking through deep snow.
