Machinist EDM Technician - (Anoka, MN)

Sets up, programs, operates and maintaints wire EDM machines. Preps and finishes components for dies, fixtures and gages. Assists in redesigning assisting dies on CAD for engineering changes, debugging and tool maintenance. Performs engineering changes to existing tooling. Keeps the tool design updated as changes occur. Creates inventory of standard EDM blocks and backup info. Makes prototype tooling and parts. Produces prototype parts to customer's expectations. Plans and organizes projects to maximize the productivity of self and equipment. Maintains progress reports and is committed to continuous improvement of programming techniques and the machining processes. Inspects work to precise tolerances and makes adjustments to the process accordingly to achieve optimum results. Repairs and rebuilds equipment when needed.
