Estimator Scotia, NY Permanent Full time Applicant should have a general understanding of concrete and masonry construction. Must have the expertise to independently manage their time to meet project specific deadlines. Good verbal and writing expertise are required. Client will train to estimate concrete reinforcing and the expectations after proper training will be as follows: Work directly with Sales Manager to review upcoming and past bids, projects desirability, scope or work, and pricing parameters. Prepare quantity take-off using Civil, Structural, and Architectural drawings as provided by customer or downloaded from on-line plan rooms. Contact customers via phone or email as part of the pre-bid process with questions regarding technical specifications, scope of work, means and methods, and project schedule. Solicit pricing from vendors for specialty products related to our scope of work. Solicit plan-holders lists from owners and owners’ representatives.
