Position title Engineering intern Reed City, MI Location City Reed City Location State(s) MI Position summary General Description Engineering Intern/Co-Op will assist the Controls Engineer within the maintenance and production departments in troubleshooting problems, installation of new equipment or upgrading of existing equipment. Assist in the design and development of new products and improving present processes. Controls Engineer Principal Duties and Responsibilities Develop and recommend proposals for improved manufacturing methods, procedures and equipment directed at reducing costs while maintaining quality standards. Assist press operators and maintenance personnel troubleshooting problems with the machine or the process including PLC ladder logic. PLC programming of Allen-Bradley Micrologix, SLC, and Logix Series of PLC s. Layout, installation, and programming of communication networks including Ethernet, Controlnet, Devicenet, and Profibus.
