Engineer Intern, Mechanical - (Portage, IN)

Position description: This position is responsible for assisting with the development of solutions for the world class customers served by GGS. Assignments include development, implementation, testing and startup of technical solutions created by yourself or others, and frequent communication to management. You will be working closely with project managers and senior engineers to leverage their technical experience and ability in equipment design and implementation to deliver high quality and high-value solutions. This position will be located in our Portage, IN office. Main responsibilities: Assist in design and implementation of mechanical components and applications Work cooperatively with engineering, design, production and field service staff Responsible for aspects of project budget and schedule requirements Specify and configure various hardware components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, materials, etc. Perform industrial field visits for measurements of existing location/components
