A2442A - COBOL, CICS programmer Payroll System - Contract - Trenton, NJ - (Trenton, NJ)

Our direct client is looking for a COBOL, CICS programmer for a Payroll Application in a structured PMO environment for a Long-term Contract in Trenton, NJ. The State of New Jersey's payroll system needs to be modernized and restructured in order to meet future business needs. The need to increase the size of certain fields in the system in order to enhance functionality is part of this modernization/restructuring effort. OMB Centralized Payroll, the client responsible for the system, as well as the Governor's Office or Employee relations, is in need of the expertise to identify employees at a more granular level for union negotiations and contracts. The senior analyst/programmer will work directly with both the State of New Jersey project manager as well as the consultant project manager on the team in addition to State of New Jersey teammates to accomplish this goal. The state of New Jersey's payroll system is a mainframe legacy system that is over 45yrs old.
