Evaluating bids, selecting and recommending suppliers; ? Negotiating price, quality and service; ? Facilitating orders with suppliers to meet production schedules; ? Negotiating and settling with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, etc; ? Conducting supplier site visits and rating them in regards to production capability, performance and delivery. Education: 4-year degree required. Key skills: ? 1 or more years of manufacturing purchasing background; ? Knowledge in lean manufacturing, Kanban, supplier development; ? Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control; ? Proficient in computerized procurement systems; ? Strong negotiation and issue solving abilities; ? Good communication abilities;
