COBOL Programmer - (Youngstown, OH)

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking a full-time COBOL Programmer at our Corporate office in Youngstown, Ohio. This position will be working with ISeries/AS400 to help maintain existing legacy applications that support current business operations and also develop new applications as needed. The environment is the ISeries/AS400 with 80% COBOL and 20% RPG working in a manufacturing and distribution environment. The applicant should possess 3+ years experience in the development/testing/implementation and maintenance of ISeries/AS/400 batch and interactive COBOL programs. The applicant should also possess strong analytical and communications skills. Responsibilities / Duties / Characteristics include: Works directly with users to translate qualifications into system specifications. Analyzes existing program logic to determine best method of accomplishing required changes or cause of program malfunction.
