NDT Level II Quality Engineer - (Lansing, MI)

Job summary This position is for a NDT Level two Quality Engineer, located at Pratt & Whitney Auto Air; Lansing, MI. The selected applicant will be participating in non-destructive testing applications involving Thermal Acoustic Imaging, Ultrasonic, FPI, and X-ray dimensional measurement systems; amongst others as technology and processes evolve. Position description: Oversee inspection utilizing state of the art digital x-ray and Thermal Acoustic Imaging Systems Write operating procedures, inspection techniques. Oversee training and certification of Level one and 2 inspectors Maintain training records / certification examinations Provide technical guidance to inspectors and other departments such as Engineering and Quality regarding inspection results Conduct internal audits of inspectors Support investigations involving NDT technology Participate in a major project to procure, install and staff a major capital project. Manage technical aspects of the process once it has been put in place.
