CAD Drafter - (Decatur, GA)

Job summary: Applicants will be taking specifications from their clients (GA pacific, Kimberley Clark, International Paper) on what parts or components are needed. Typically parts are large sprockets, different sized gears, large corkscrews that sift waste water. Most parts are sheet metal and other machined parts. Most designs will be done in AutoCAD, but they also do designs in Solid edge and Inventor for more complex parts. Drafters will have to interact with sales and the shop employees on specifications, deadlines, etc. This location is a custom fabrication shop, nothing is done in large quantities everything is custom made. Workplace environment: There will be a blend of working on the manufacturing floor and in the office. Large machine/ Fab shop. 25% of time on floor and 75% in office environment. Week 1: exposure to product line and spend time on the shop floor, individual time with product line and reviewing drawings.
