PURCHASING AGENT Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office Thibodaux, LA Fulltime, M-F 8-5 $35,000 - $45,000 DOE This position is responsible for procuring related supplies and services required by various departments of the sheriff's office in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, policies and procedures. Candidates must have: College diploma and one year of Purchasing background. ( 5+ years of direct procurement background may substitute for the degree). Background in government agency purchasing with Louisiana State public bid law, and state contracts is preferred. Prior background in writing and conducting RFP's. Certified Professional Public Buyer certification, or the expertise to obtain the CPPB within 2yrs of hire.
