Online Instructional Designer - (Bloomington, IN)

Serves as an on-line course consultant and info and resource person for the design and development of on-line courses across the IU system. Consults with faculty and staff – potentially on multiple campuses, with priority either on Bloomington and south or on Indianapolis and north — on a variety of course design issues, including identifying student learning outcomes, fostering active and engaged learning, selecting and implementing appropriate instructional technologies, and assessing student learning. Participates in the development of project planning and implementation. Works with the eDS principal instructional designers and eDS managers to establish and implement practices, procedures, and workflows in conformance with university and UITS strategic and operational plans. The intention is to provide design and development assistance and direct support to faculty and programs creating and conducting on-line courses.
