Chief Drafter / Manager - (Jackson, WI)

A NOMMA-award winning steel fabricator has a direct hire opening for a Chief drafter to lead the team. They need a well-versed Tekla user to be the resident expert able to mentor and train the designers while transitioning from Autocad to Tekla software. Looking for a multi-talented professional equally comfortable presenting at a board meeting and spending hours in front of the computer. Based out of the Jackson, WI headquarters, you will be supervising the structural drafters, providing guidance, and creating/changing drawings for a variety of client projects. They specialize in joists, rails, decks, and other structural steel design and fabrication used in both residential and commercial construction. The current Chief will be retiring, but you'll have the opportunity to train under him and learn their processes before assuming management responsibilities.
