OB/GYN Insurance Billing Specialist - (Sidney, OH)

Under the direction of the OB/GYN Office Manager, the OB/GYN Insurance and Billing Specialist will make contact with all obstetric (OB) patients to verify and check insurance benefits for maternity coverage. The OB/GYN Insurance and Billing Specialist will discuss the patient's coverage/personal financial responsibility and be responsible for setting up pre-payment where applicable. For patients with no insurance or having insurance with no maternity coverage, the OB/GYN Insurance and Billing Specialist will discuss with patients procedures to apply for Medicaid. The OB/GYN Insurance and Billing Specialist will be responsible for entering all billing fees for Wilson Care OB/GYN office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: Include the following points (other duties may be assigned): Obtain referrals of all OB patients from providers and staff after 1 st office visit, and establish contact with each confirmed OB patient during OB Coordinator visit. Identify potential maternity fees.
