Automotive Product Line Specialist - Purchasing (231499) - (Fort Mill, SC)

Job qualifications: Review and analyze supplier manufacturing processes, production flow, cycle times and capacity to ensure the supplier can meet Schaeffler USA's production and quality qualifications. Coordinate purchasing function to facilitate new product development. Manage projects within purchasing in connection with new products and engineering changes. Research and analyze data, such as waste material, scrap process, production specifications, and process capabilities, and actively assist in the acquisition of new business through creating and handling RFQ's with supplier base to meet target costs. Manage and direct cost reduction programs with design engineering and process engineering modifications, such as Value Analyses and Value Engineering projects in order to improve Schaeffler USA's competitiveness. Assist the New Product Development Team in developing detailed project plans including technical, cost, and schedule performance.
