Director, Underwriting Services - (Chesterfield, MO)

Provides underwriting ability and support to both the EHR and Underwriting Services Teams. Interprets sources of details and understands the qualifications of underwriting programs, then develops and maintains severity scores and underwriting rule sets based on this details. Works closely with Business Development, AURA Technology, and client companies to ensure business goals are met. Responsibilities EHR Team * Serve as the primary resource for underwriting ability and support while participating in research and development of new EHR programs, pilots and ventures. * Underwriting SME for the EHR team interpreting underwriting guidelines and developing severity scores as they pertain to ICD/PCS codes. * Expand scoring system to include attributes and synergistic scores where possible. * Work with technical teams to develop guidelines used in training Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning tools to mine unstructured text in EHRs.
