A Assistant Director of Underwriting - Chicago, IL DESCRIPTION: The A Assistant Director of Underwriting is charged with profitably growing the Accident & Health portfolio. The ADU will play a key role within the A vertical with influence on product development, pricing segmentation, underwriting, operations/processes, IT, distribution channels, marketing, and product filings. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Set strategy and lead execution for growth, profit & retention for the Accident & Health Products within the A vertical including Business Travel Accident, Multinational, Participant Accident & Standalone AD (Basic & Voluntary). * Responsible for marketing, analyzing risk and underwriting all products including any future portfolio products using underwriting tools for manual and background rating to meet profitability goals * Manage top and bottom line Accident & Health products results including achievement of growth & retention targets, expense controls and achievement of the targeted combined ratio.
