News Production Coordinator - (Bloomington, IN)

Works closely with the Internal Communications Manager to plan, produce and manage engaging news and informational content for Indiana University faculty and staff communications, including 3 email newsletters. Conceptualizes and helps manage content flow, while reinforcing IU’s strategic messaging through the optimal organization, formatting and publishing of written and visual communications for electronic distribution. Works independently to determine content that most effectively addresses the informational needs of IU faculty and staff and advances the university’s top institutional priorities. To this end, exercises sound – and often independent – editorial judgment related to news content, photography, videography and graphics, and other supporting materials that contribute to stories that are both engaging to the reader and effective in promoting and publicizing IU’s key strategic messages.
