Scientist - Assay Development - (Chapel Hill, NC)

Seeking scientists with a strong experience in molecular biology and assay development to work for a centralized, quality controlled, and quality assured BioSpecimen Processing Core Facility. This person will be expected to work autonomously to perform all of the processing tasks in the BSP core facility. This can include extraction, quantifying, and performing quality checks accurately, and independently. Day to day will also consist of researching and developing new techniques, improving current processes, and writing and managing SOPs. Qualifications: B.S. in Biology, Molecular Biology, or related position Experience extracting RNA from a variety of human tissue specimens High-throughput sample analysis Experience developing qPCR assays Experience working with FFPE slides This position is a good fit for someone who has 5-10yrs of experience (in industry) with the above qualifications and is seeking a challenging opportunity to handle multiple projects and design new assays.
