Engineer Senior Supervisor Signals - (Suffolk, VA)

The Hampton Roads District is seeking an Engineer Senior Supervisor Signal to lead and oversee the Daily Operations of VDOT's traffic signal & intelligent transportation control system program. This position will serve as responsible charge engineer for traffic signal phasing, signal timing plans, signal modification and design plans, and traffic signal device construction contracts. This position provides decision, support, and analysis of traffic engineering studies and prepares the signal timing and coordination at new and existing traffic signal locations. This position strategically develops and implements the traffic signal systems program. Min Requirements Background applying Traffic Signal Systems engineering principles and practices related to traffic control equipment and related communication systems. Background applying, Federal State and local laws, codes, and ordinances are pertaining to traffic control and engineering.
