Meeting & Event Manager - (Portland, OR)

Position summary POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for providing excellent service to meeting/event planners, soliciting new catering accounts, managing and scheduling banquet team, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals. Oversee client functions to ensure customer satisfaction. KEY FUNCTIONS AVERAGE % OF TIME 30% Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written correspondence . 30% Service existing groups and meeting/event planners. Correspond with customers to ensure needs are met. Create banquet event orders and resumes in timely, organized fashion. 10% Managed and lead banquet team. Schedule team based on business demand and train/develop team. 10% Participate in daily business review meeting, BEO meeting, pre-convention meetings (if necessary), training and other catering sales related meetings as required.
