STD Claims Examiner Sr - CDS - (EM11893) - (Portland, ME)

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES: To contribute to the overall success of Custom Disability Solutions objectives by providing timely and accurate support to our client companies and the claims department. To manage appropriate adjudication of short-term disability claims in accordance with policy provisions. To initiate and facilitate case management and other ancillary services to assure optimum outcomes. CDS strives to ensure the independence and impartiality of all persons involved in making claim and appeal decisions. Accordingly, CDSs decisions regarding hiring, compensation, termination, promotion, or other similar matters with respect to any individual are not made based upon the likelihood that the individual will support the denial of a benefit. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Promotes a positive customer service image through prompt, accurate and courteous responses to customer details needs. * Consistently adheres to the documented workflow guidelines and established procedures.
