Collections Specialist Job Info Level Experienced Compensation range Undisclosed Job Location USA-TN-Clarksville Travel Percentage None Job category Full-time Job Shift Day Education Level Undisclosed Job Category Health Care Description This position is chiefly responsible for handling patient inquiries about account balances, both at the practice and by phone at the CBO, as well as reviewing and acting upon delinquent patient account balances. Duties include but not limited to the following. Answer telephone inquiries from patients. Handle patient inquiries in person at the CBO. Resolve account issues, such as correcting posting errors, refiling insurance claims and processing account adjustments. Review account balances determined to be delinquent, taking appropriate resolution actions, such a sending collection letters and submitting requests to the provider for collection agency placement of an account.
