Description Health Services Consultant three Nutrition Consultant About the Position The Office of Nutrition Services (ONS) works to create opportunities for people with limited resources to make healthy nutrition choices. The Nutrition Consultant is in the Breastfeeding and WIC Foods Unit, and impacts program goals to assure nutritious approved foods are available to WIC participants. This positon serves as a liaison between the WIC program and food manufacturers and brokers, reviews and approves WIC foods, participates in WIC food package changes and infant formula changes, and coordinates the development of WIC shopping tools and WIC food UPC collection and maintenance. This is a full time permanent Health Services Consultant three (HSC 3) within the Division of Prevention and Community Health Office of Nutrition Services. This recruitment may be used to fill other HSC three positions within the unit.
