The Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University invitesapplications and nominations for a part time Artist/Teacher ofGuitar, beginning in the fall semester 2019. Assignments include: Recruitment of students in preparationfor a Fall 2019 start. Teach applied guitar to undergraduateand graduate music majors; maintain international standing as aperforming artist and teacher. Contribute to the musical life ofthe Peabody Conservatory, including participating in recruitment,auditions, juries, and recitals; secondary responsibilitiespossible depending on candidates area(s) of ability. Located in the heart of Baltimores Mount Vernon CulturalDistrict, the Peabody Institute was founded in 1857 as Americasfirst academy of music. Today, through its degree-grantingConservatory and its community-based Preparatory music and danceschool, Peabody trains musicians and dancers of every age and atevery level. Each year Peabody stages almost 1000 major publicconcerts and performances.
