Genghis Cohen is hiring a sincerely welcoming individual with the expertise to create smooth and efficient pace of service. Background as a host in a high volume restaurant is a must. This position will include some serving shifts and private events. Responsibilities * Greet and give a warm welcome to all guests entering restaurant. * Strong knowledge of all food and beverage menu descriptions. * Answer phone calls, place to-go orders and accept reservations. * Organize and take payment of pick up and delivery to-go orders. * Keep a waitlist of accurate quote times* Plan out reservation seating and set up tables accordingly. * Communicate with management and fellow employees as necessary to ensure efficient service. * Control of OpenTable system during service. * Inform fellow staff of special occasions, needs and birthdays of reservations. * Maintain a clean and tidy front desk.
