Instructor --- Art and Community Engagement One-Year Appointment Springfield College Springfield, MA -- Springfield College invites applications for a one-year, nine-month appointment for an Instructor of Art and Community Engagement in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Assignments include: teaching 4 courses per semester, academic advising, and contributing to recruitment for the Studio Arts major and the Arts in the Community minor. Special interest will be given to candidates with the expertise to teach a variety of art courses including basic and advanced drawing, basic and advanced painting, design and art history. Overseeing the Arts in the community minor includes instruction of practicum experiences that engage students of various arts disciplines in community settings. Successful candidates will have an MA or MFA and evidence of excellent teaching as well as college teaching background.
