Staff are responsible for daily food-related planning and preparation, supply management, and kitchen cleanliness. The kitchen is the heart of the basecamp and strives to support a positive and collaborative environment for this Outward Bound site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ** Food Preparation Provide homemade, creative, practical, nutritious lunches and dinners Accommodate food allergies and special needs reasonably and economically Plan and execute meals for special events and course banquets Management Vision. Keep the big picture of the kitchen in mind as well as the info of day to day operation. Oversee equipment functionality and request repair as needed Oversee potentially unskilled support staff Regularly order kitchen food and supplies and oversee deliveries Ensure food inventories and expenses stay within budgetary guidelines
