Description FAMILY SUPPORT SPECIALIST/COUNSELOR Job description: The Family Support Specialist provides critical support services to children and families that are involved in the Foster Care Programs. Services include working with families on appropriate parenting skills to prevent out of home placement and to support youth who are returning home from out of home placement. The Family Support Specialist with utilize knowledge and skills to find address and resolve barriers that prevent a successful reintegration and to utilize these skills to prevent out of home placement. This applicant also provides individual and group activities and supports. Critical features of this job are described under headings below.
