Network Technician - (New Canaan, CT)

JOB DESCRIPTION The District Network Technician provides technical support and network management support. Technical support includes network support for district network infrastructure (servers and network backbone), hardware, software, telecommunications, and web services. The District Network Technician supports education and business applications and associated data support. The District Network Technician works closely and under the direction of the Network Manager with work flow coordinated by the User Support Coordinator. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Act as 1st responder to infrastructure trouble tickets such as LAN switching, wireless networking, internet and server issues Identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network related issues affecting district end users Use existing helpdesk system to create, monitor and close tickets assigned to network team Serve as escalation point to district technicians Creation
