Controller (Client Position) - (Port Huron, MI)

Responsibilities - Journal entries - Cash Flow Statement - Management/Supervisory background - Month-end close processing/reporting - Payroll tax returns (941, 940, MI 1028, MI SUWT, PH-941) - Fixed Asset schedules (book/tax valuations, insured valuations) - Support with ERP software implementation Qualifications Essential - Strong PC application skills - Prior background in payroll processing - Annual cash basis wages report - Assist with payroll benefits administration (401k, health, life, STD, etc) - Trend analysis - Contribution Margin Report - Prior accounting background (3-5yrs) in a manufacturing environment - Negative inventory tracking - Annual 3rd party sick pay reconciliation - Balance Sheet - Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) Reporting - Ratios - Supervision of bi-monthly physical inventory - Annual updating of payroll withholdings (state/federal income tax, MESC, FUTA rates) - AP approvals - Periodic review of AP and AR Aging schedules - Supervision and implementation of outsourced payroll functions
