System Engineer - (Monroe, NC)

Position Objective: Assure, through adequate system planning, design, and project management, that the Cooperative's electric system will provide the highest quality and reliability of service possible to the members while continuously remaining focused on the Cooperative's Mission and Vision Statements, and the promotion of the Cooperative's values. Essential Duties of the Position: Assists in the preparation of construction work plans, long range plans, system planning reports, and system protection and power requirement studies. Performs distribution system protection analysis and provides support for others in E&O division. Provides technical support to Distribution System Design group. Designs electric system facilities and develops specifications for major items of equipment. Develops contract documents for construction and for materials acquisition. Assists in the maintenance and quality control of the Cooperative's GIS, SCADA, and OMS systems.
