Veterinary Technician - (Algonquin, IL)

Animal Care Clinic is a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Algonquin, Illinois looking for technicians who have a passion for animals. Duties include: -Putting patients in rooms, obtaining medical history -Proper restraint to maintain safe workplace environment -Expertise to draw blood and place catheters -Perform treatments on hospitalized patients (give fluids, administer medication etc) -Perform dental cleanings, assist and monitor surgery patients -Administer vaccines -Client education on vaccines, preventatives, etc -Assist with radiology and ultrasound Potential applicants must possess: -Expertise to perform in a high energy environment -Positive attitude -Pleasant presence in person and on the phone -Reliable and flexible (shifts include mornings, nights, weekends) -Willingness to learn (hospital protocols, vaccine and preventative details, etc) and expertise the to learn new computer software -Sufficient physical strength/mobility with the expertise to lift 40 pounds
