Animal Keeper I The Lee Richardson Zoo is currently looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join the animal department staff. Animal Keeper I assignments include providing animal care, animal observations, animal training, enrichment, monitoring animal health, maintaining cleanliness of animal areas, and minor exhibit modification. Other assignments include, but are not limited to: general maintenance of grounds and public areas, formal and informal presentations for the public, and assisting with research and conservation initiatives. Excellent communication and management skills and the expertise to work well alone or with others in a team environment are a must. Requirements Candidates should have a 4 yr degree in a biology related position with some animal background, an associate degree with 2 years paid background in an AZA licensed institution, or 5yrs paid background at an AZA licensed institution.
