Position Purpose & Summary The Global Buyer manages development and implementation of a global sourcing strategy for a category of micro ingredients, in conjunction with the Global Lead Buyer. This role is responsible for identifying, creating, and capturing value from competitive advantages emerging from Cargills global scale and market insights. The position has accountability for achieving hard capture targets for the category. Leads global supplier contact for strategic negotiations, and provides direction to guide negotiations of select ingredients supported by Regional Sourcing Leads (RSLs) and Local RMS. Develops insights that link together value creation activities initiated by SMT and works with RSLs and Regional RMS Directors on deployment and assessing local commercial viability. Manages global communication of market intelligence for category. Offers real-time global market intelligence and pricing direction to Ingredient (resell) Business.
