Assistant Nursing Director of Med Surg - (Oneonta, NY)

A new opportunity is now available for an ambitious Nurse Manager of the Medical Surgical Unit in a community hospital. This opportunity is with a well-known health system in the Capital Region of New York. As Nurse Manager of the Med/Surg Unit, you are responsible for clinical operations on the 30-bed surgical unit. The Medical Surgical Unit provides treatment for all surgical patients. As the Nurse Manager, you will be part of a dedicated group of caring professionals with the resources, training, and knowledge to provide patients with the most advanced medical care. The Nurse Manager Medical Surgical will have strong current understanding of JCAHO, federal and state regulations, and related accreditation standards. Reporting to the Nursing Director of Acute Care, the Nurse Manager Medical Surgical will demonstrate proactive attitude and creativity in issue solving with strong leadership and team-building skills and the expertise to lead and motivate staff.
