REGISTERED ARCHITECT (Job Opening ID #507683) Full time position available with KCMO's Parks & Recreation Department, Planning & Design Services, 4600 E. 63rd St Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Manages the design, construction, and modification of Capital Improvement projects including park, recreation, landscape, fountains, monuments, facilities, boulevard, and parkway projects. Performs ADA compliance reviews of plans and inspections for Department projects. Reviews plans, specifications, and quantities for compliance with Department standards. Inspects Department projects to ensure compliance with the specifications and to recommend necessary remediation or operational improvements. Prepares in-house designs of smaller park, recreation, landscape, fountains, monuments, facilities projects. Coordinates and collaborates with the Board, supervisor, staff, stakeholders, and consultants in the preparation of project plans.
