Senior Product Design Engineer - (Charleston, SC)

Global leader in the design and manufacture of masts, carriages, integral sideshifters, fork positioners, reach carriages and related components for a wide variety of mobile material handling equipment. These products are used on industrial trucks, automatically guided vehicles (AGVs), telehandlers, truck mounted and rough terrain forklifts and a wide spectrum of other material handling applications. Due to increased demand, they are looking to hire a Senior Product Design Engineer for their South Carolina location in the beautiful upstate area. Responsibilities: Evaluate internal and external customer requirements, generate 3D CAD models, and create 2D prints using appropriate GD&T schemes for prototype and production projects Perform structural analysis using classical methods and verify concepts with FEA simulations Interpret FEA simulation and or physical stress/strain test results and generate solutions to prevent product failures Follow departmental procedures to push and officially release product
