Receiver (4:30-8:30pm) - (McHenry, IL)

The Receiver performs duties to receive, lift, unpack, sort, verify, and update shipments from vendors. This is a temporary position lasting up to 6 mnths. Specific Responsibilities: * UNPACKING: Pull carton off conveyor line in Unpacking station. Unpack carton, load items into tote, keeping like items together. Inspect for damaged or defective items. Record tote ID, purchase order number or ASN number, total item count, total title count, and employee ID into system using data entry terminal. Break down cartons and place in proper bin for storage / disposal. * INITIAL RECEIPT: Pull tote off conveyor line into Initial Receipt station. Scan tote ID into system using laser scanner. Identify each item received by typing or scanning; enter quantity of each item into system. Inspect for damaged or defective items and record as such. * SORT: Retrieve tote from departmental inbound conveyor line. Scan tote barcode into system for identification purposes.
