POSITION DETAILS The QA Nurse is a nurse who coordinates performance improvement for branch office activities in tandem with the clinical staff, and under the direction of the Corporate QA Director. The QA Nurse utilizes a combination of strong verbal and writing expertise and nursing process skills to determine the care and services rendered to patients are efficient, effective, and appropriate to attain desired patient care outcomes, billing and regulatory requirements. The QA Nurse acts as a mentor with clinical field staff in education and feedback on the quality of clinical documentation. POSITION ASSIGNMENTS Assess accurate and completeness of OASIS data from patients assessments. From the assessment data and in conjunction with the admitting RN accurately identifies the appropriate government and applied standards of coding. Performs review of new patients OASIS data to assure accurate and completion of info.
