Utilization Management Nurse (Labor and Delivery) - (Austin, TX)

This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse who is looking for a work and life balance opportunity, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. Day to day: Responsible for performing precertification, prior approvals, labor and delivery admission and discharges, and discharge follow-up phone calls under the supervision of the Director, Medical Management (a Registered Nurse). . Acts as a member advocate by expediting the care process through the health care continuum, working in concert with the health care delivery team to maintain high-quality and cost effective care delivery. This client works with a number of customers supporting outsourced administrative functions to include, case management, utilization management, outreach.. They are located in a nice office location, work hours will be standard M-F with the expertise to earn work from home capabilities within 6 mnths. (Must meet audit scores). Education/Training: Education Client will check licenses, but licenses are not required for all positions.
