Job details Key Position Information Geico's Portland Staff Counsel Office is seeking a litigation attorney with 1-2yrs' experience in personal injury litigation or 4 yrs litigation experience in Oregon. Must be licensed to practice law in Oregon and have a comprehensive knowledge of the Oregon Rules of Civil Procedure and Oregon rules of evidence. Job necessitates the attorney to have the necessary background to immediately assume mature files and be prepared to try multiple jury trials. The perfect candidate will possess strong organizational, writing, analytical and technical skills. Spanish speaking and WA licensed a plus. Salary and grade level commensurate with experience. Key functions: Research and prepare legal brief and opinions. Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery. Travel is required, including but not limited, to attend depositions, trials, hearings, trial readiness and settlement conferences.
