ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Purchase orders with Suppliers Reviews requisitions and generates purchase orders Negotiate pricing on orders Negotiate contract terms and credit lines as needed for existing Suppliers Monthly reviews min and reorder levels and negotiations as needed. Excess and Obsolete Management: Reviews slow moving products take initiative to stock balance products with vendor, and/or work to with marketing and sales to sell through inventory. Negotiations with Supplier to provide mark downs and trading of the inventory if Stock balancing is not a option. Schedules Product Arrivals: Confers with vendors to obtain product details such as availability, forecast and run rate review, delivery schedule and any product constraints Expedite delivery of goods to meet customer needs. Follows-up on delayed products and back orders, looking for alternative solutions where applicable. Continuously works with the Supply to efficiently minimize any shipment discrepancies as they arise.
