Mechanical Designer - Clinton, Iowa (RS1316) - (Clinton, IA)

1 -2yrs or longer contract assignment in Clinton, Iowa chemical plant. Review after 6 mnths. Five 8-hour days/week. Pay level $32–40 per hour, non-exempt. TWIC not required. Support capital projects and upcoming turnaround. Perform routine design assignments, using basic drafting techniques and industry standards. Under moderate supervision, develop CADD drawings from design sketches or catalog info. With some direction, perform basic engineering and design calculations, sizing components and layouts to produce efficient and workable drawings for projects. Select, design and write specifications from the scope of work for tagged material or equipment of basic items necessary for execution of the scope of work. Mark up works in progress for others to draft (or CADD). Prepare simple engineering and construction drawing from scratch, sketches or verbal instruction, utilizing manual or computer-assisted drafting/design techniques.
