Security Guard (PRN-As Needed) - (Fort Wayne, IN)

The Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the functional operation of Veteran programs and facility in accordance with VOAIN policies and procedures. The Security Guard is responsible for all aspects of client, staff, building, and property safety and security. The Security Guard must be coherent and available during work hours at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Greet and direct Residents, Visitors, Employees and Contractors. • Perform regular safety checks in and around the facility. • Identify and report hazardous situations. • Responsible for all building evacuations and control during fire alarms or other emergency situations requiring building evacuation. • Direct and assist with any emergency response to the facility by the police, fire department, or other emergency responders. • Effectively monitor safety, demonstrate group organizational skills and effectively de-escalate potentially chaotic and/or volatile situations.
