Summer Camp Hiring - (Toms River, NJ)

Aquatic Director- Aquatic Director must oversee all pools and staff, including lifeguards and instructors. Speak to staff daily to discuss pool schedule. Responsible for cleanliness of the pools and that they pass proper state inspection. Lifeguards- Must have lifeguard certification. Arrive at camp fifteen minutes before the scheduled swim time to help open the pool and clean it. Speak to the aquatics director to discuss the schedule. Every instructor is expected to go in the pool, unless the aquatics director assigns them to walk the deck. All must watch for safety. The groups will arrive and the guards will enthusiastically encourage the kids to enter the pool. Once the kids are in the water, break up the kids into small groups of 4-6 kids per guard and begin teaching the curriculum discussed with the aquatics director. Use the counselors to assist you in the water. If they resist, inform the head guard and they will assist you. Do not take matters into your own hands.
