Assistant Controller - (Scottsdale, AZ)

Summary This position is responsible for managing the financial records, accounting functions and computer details systems to ensure timely and accurate financial records are maintained for legal and management reporting, to facilitate management decision making with timely financial data, and to safeguard company assets. Key functions * Prepare monthly forecast and annual plans to analyze financial impact of operational decisions, to project profitability and to assist in forming the business strategy * Supervise the accounting staff and functions in regard to accounts payable and billing to ensure timely and accurate reports * Manage the financial resources by ensuring internal controls are enforced and generally accepted accounting principles are followed * Oversee the maintenance of accounting records and preparation of month end closing/journals and consolidation of company results * Coordinate internal and external audits to comply with internal review procedures * Direct the computer system
